Embassy Suites by Hilton Charleston Historic District

We had a great stay here! We were a little concerned with the reviews we read but remained optimistic. The room itself does need some TLC. The breakfast was good and had great choices. The evening happy hour was a nice benefit. We did have a little bit of wait with the valet but not terrible. Was within walking distance of so many great restaurants and shops! We will be coming back for another stay here. Keep in mind this is a pet friendly hotel. Also the building itself is a historic monument so there is some Character to it. Loved it here will be back for sure!

This hotel is absolutely beautiful! Having a room with a door when traveling with a teenager is perfect. This way they can get the privacy they want when you're done for the day. Also, really appreciate the nightlight in the bathroom! The room can be really dark. The breakfast is the highlight of staying here! The staff are so nice and helpful. Please be mindful and not let your door slam, it is so easy to hear your neighbors. And be nice to the staff! All the rooms are the same, no reason to yell at a young lady because you think you're better than everyone else.

I love this hotel!!! Trayvon and staff were amazing and accommodating. It's an older hotel, but the location, cleanliness, and staff are top notch. We stayed for 1 night as part of a Bachelorette party weekend, and had a great visit. The breakfast is on point with eggs, bacon, potatoes, grits, mini pancakes, omelettes made to order, yogurt, english muffins, muffins, cereal, juice, coffee... I was able to check in early and check out late which was a huge benefit to my trip. The pool was beautiful. We enjoyed the complimentary happy hour. I can't speak highly enough about the staff!!! I highly, highly recommend this hotel if you're looking for quality, friendliness, cleanliness, and an around amazing experience.

We booked a room with a view and asked not to be near the elevators. We checked in and the room wasn't at all what we asked for. Room #130 needs to be condemned. It smells bad, has nasty stains in the carpet. Frame around the sink is falling apart. Should be ashamed to charge for that room at all. So we asked for another room. They gave us #230 right above, we stayed on night there and the bed was rock hard the floor was softer. We asked if there was ANY room with a view, didn't care about the beds. They gave us a room on the fourth floor with double beds. SO much better. Great view, beds were much softer and slept well. Staff was very nice; the breakfasts were good with a very good selection to choose from. The website says the rooms have Keurig coffee machines and they do not! Coffee in the room wasn't good at all. Why we brought our own K-cups but couldn't use them. Valet parking was nice and convenient. We would stay here again as long as we get another room like the one, we left. Also, the nightly reception was nice to wind down to after a day of sightseeing with a drink and snacks.

Every time we arrive at this hotel, Shawna, the Assistant Front Office Manager, makes us feel like we’re coming home. When being away from home can feel so far and exhausting, her kindness, warmth, and genuine care mean everything to our crew. She always finds a way to accommodate us and goes above and beyond to make sure we’re comfortable. Shawna’s hospitality comes straight from the heart, and it never goes unnoticed. Wow! This place is beautiful! We will be staying here everytime we come thru Charleston! The beds and pillows are SO comfortable! The breakfast was amazing, can even have homemade made to order omelets and eggs! Hotel was clean, staff very friendly, convenient parking!

Our stay at Embassy Suites was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome with warm smiles and excellent service. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-appointed, with comfortable beds and plenty of space to relax. The complimentary made-to-order breakfast was fresh and delicious, and the evening reception with drinks and snacks was such a nice touch. The location was convenient, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing and inviting. We truly felt at home and will definitely be returning for our next trip!

My husband and I started a bucket list of every state in the country/.We visit for a weekend, stay downtown so we can walk and taste all the food! This hotel is stunning!! The views, the decorations, the rooms, the breakfasts!!! The amazing, kind service !!! We would recommend this hotel to anyone, hands down!!! It’s a must if you’re in Charleston!!
